Final update...Hopefully!

So is it just me or should Dr.'s not get to have real lives & vacations??? I'm scheduled for my C-section in about a week & 1/2, but the "plan" was to start jogging on the treadmill this week to go a little early. Hey, Parker came two weeks early & weighed a whopping 8lbs 12oz, who could blame me! So at my last Dr. visit I noticed some little stars on his calendar & promptly asked, "uh, do those mean you're going to be on vacation?" and of course they do! So, so much for the "plan," I've got to hold it together for at least another two weeks, sigh!

Parker has been really cute about the baby though, giving my tummy hugs & kisses. I think he's really starting to get that there will be a baby coming soon. He asks if everything new around the house is for "Baby Wincon" (that's what he calls him). He had to try out the swing, the car seat, & the baby bouncer of course. Obviously being too big, he got stuck in the bouncer & I had to rescue him. It didn't take long for him to figure out that they were for Baby Lincoln too! He has told just about everyone that Baby Lincoln is coming out & bringing him a "Mr. Tato Head." He picked it out at the store & when the baby comes it will be his present to Parker, hopefully throwing off a little jealousy! (yah, right!)

He's been pretty ok with it all too except for one incidence at the store. I was buying new binkies for the baby & he said, "for Parker?" & I said, "no, for baby Lincoln." He then proceeded to have the biggest meltdown right there in the middle of the store. Just sobbing over these binkies. I told him he had plenty of his own at home, but that was no good. He wanted the new ones for him. I know, I know, he's way too old for a binky but it's too close to the baby to take it away now & we've been potty training the last two months so I didn't want to mess with that either. He'll be 25 still sucking on that thing I think!
