Lightning does strike twice . . .

So we're now taking votes on whether or not people think we live on an old ancient Indian burial ground, if our home is just haunted, or if we are just the most unlucky people ever. . .

Since bringing Linc home from the hospital,

  • Lincoln got RSV
  • Parker had a heart scare that sent us to the Dr. & hospital several times.
  • I got sick with a cold & ear infections.
  • Lincoln has severe reflux and wheezes as he breaths & even stops breathing sometimes.
  • Our basement flooded, again.
  • Our garage ceiling is leaking.
  • Our laundry room flooded.
As you can see, it has been one thing after another & we've stopped saying, "what next," because something always happens after that!

Anyway, I thought I should give a little update on our current insanity for those who are wondering or even give a darn!

Linc is over his RSV and is currently on several meds for his reflux. We meet with a specialist at Primary's next week, so hopefully they'll figure out a way to help this poor little one out. He's had it kinda rough these first few weeks of life! Thru it all he is such a happy little guy, so precious & sweet, getting chunky & smiles a ton! We love our little monkey!

I already posted about Parker's heart condition & we're definitely relieved he's A-OK!

Yes, our basement bedroom flooded once again, but after purchasing a pump to suck out all the ground water from the window, hopefully that won't happen again! (knock on wood)

As for our laundry room, well that's just plain funny! We called up our home warranty people & they sent out a plumber who showed me that we need to simply push the water hose back into the pipe as to keep it from flooding the room. (we're not the handiest of people :)

I can't update on the status of the garage leak yet due to the fact that it hasn't been remedied yet, I'll update when we get that wonderful news!

So recently we've decided that there can only be one explanation. Ancient Indian burial ground! Cuz no ones this unlucky, right? :)

On the brighter side, we scored floor tickets to the Jazz game Sat!

P.S. Haven't blogged in a while so there are two new posts before this one. . . much more fun too!

Katie you need a day at the spa! Holy cow you are a saint to have not lost your mind by now. Having sick kids is the hardest thing ever. Hopefully things will start going better for you!

Jaimen had horrible reflux... horrible. He would go through about 10 bibs and burp rags a day. His was projectile also. We also went to Primary Children's for Jaimen and he was lucky that it wasn't damaging his stomach, but they couldn't help it stop. Good luck, keep me posted.
