OuR wEeK oFf...

Jason was in Colorado for work over his birthday and our anniversary so we decided to celebrate them both the week after he got home over Memorial weekend.

We stayed 3 nights in Park City which almost didn't happen because, of course, Parker started throwing up the night before we were supposed to leave. We took him to the Dr. and everything checked out so we decided to still go and lucky for us Grandma Freckleton was nice enough to take him for us...it was the longest we've ever left him before so I was a little nervous, especially since he was sick. He had a blast there, as always, and seemed to get over being sick pretty quick...must be the special "grandma medicine."

We didn't do a whole lot in Park City, just the usual; sleeping in, shopping, lounging at the pool, oh an the zip line! It looks a whole lot scarier than it actually is. After 18 bucks a person, waiting a 1/2 an hr. for the rain to clear, and a 20 min. ski lift ride, it was over in seconds. At least we can say we've done it!

Then we bribed our son to come home with us after a fun, spoiled weekend with Grandma. (No, we're not above bribery...you should try it, it's very effective!)

We then spent the next few days just having fun. We went to Layton Park and fed the ducks. Parker had a blast, he always does at this park. It's amazing how unafraid he is to go right up to them, the ducks were eating the bread right out of his fingers. One duck took a little nip at his arm though and he kept his distance after that! The only down side is with all those ducks come duck droppings and it's like a mine field out there! Pic Nicer's Beware!

We also went to the Living Aquarium down in Sandy. It was really cool, especially the Jelly Fish, but we were in and out in less than a 1/2 an hr...it took longer to drive there & it cost $16. But we did get to see Big Buddha from Fox 13...they were taping a segment while we were there.

It was a fun week but now it's back to work, Jason's in Rexburg this week while I try to settle the sale of our home. Yeah, back to real life!

Katie HI,

My sister told my that Alyson had her baby, and I saw Katie and Jason and clicked and found you. How are you? Your family is so darling! Your little boy couldn't be any cuter! I miss ya. I haven't seen or heard from you in so long. I was so excited that it was the Katie and Jason that I was hoping it was when I clicked on your blog. If you get a chance email me and we'll chat. My email is llythgoe@alliancecu.org. Hope to hear from you soon.

You asked where I was hiking. It was the Desolation Lake trail in Milcreek Canyon.

Good luck with the house hunting!
